Charleston Vacation

thin What an amazing time!! Mike and I were in need of some time off : ) We stayed two days in downtown Charleston and then met some friends for a Jazz festival south of Charleston. We had never been to the city and I was overwhelmed by the beauty, history and textures!! Luckily, my friend had made a request for me to take some photos of the doors of Charleston. Thank goodness- because I wouldn’t have known where to start. Every where I looked, I thought I would want to shoot an engagement session here, here, here… I am not sure how many miles we walked in those two days. We did take a carriage ride and our guide was fantastic- he told us about Philadelphia Alley which was a dueling spot and I believe over 1,000 men lost their lives there (I wanted to find the alley again but didn’t have time). Charleston was the first American city to have a theater – there are photos of that in the gallery, however, this is not the original one, that one burned in a fire. The jazz festival was amazing – we really loved hearing Boney James!! And of course being with friends!! It was a great 4 days- Charleston, I will be BACK!!
