Mother Daughter Portraits!

We had the most amazing time!! These two rocked their session. N was so excited – the shoot was actually for her birthday and she brought her mom along to play. N and her mom brought some clothing, then we added to their wardrobe with the studio style closet. Check out their video and portraits below!!

Transformation Weight Loss | Celebrate with Portraits

Wow! I met Leigh over the phone first, and I just knew her spirit was amazing!! As we spoke more, she told me about her journey. She had been heavy almost all of her adult life. She decided to make a change, and didn’t look back. Not to say that it was an easy road — but it was a road she was faithful to. 92 pounds gone — and she feels like the person she knew was inside her! She decided to celebrate her TRANSFORMATION with portraits. And I am honored to have captured her journey. Check out the video too!

Portraits to Celebrate Your Birthday Day

Brandi was turning 35 and wanted to celebrate herself!! Life isn’t always easy and the last couple of years had been rough; she had two very dear losses in her life in those 2 years. She was coming out of the pain and wanted to celebrate her birthday in a fun, unique way! I was SO EXCITED that she booked me!! We talked about her shoot, she wanted a mixture of film noir and a magazine shoot (like a spread you’d see in Vogue or W magazine).  She bought in some amazing clothing choices! Nothing needed from my style closet. The red and gold dress was actually her mom’s from the 1980’s and most of the other items were vintage as well. I just love her style vibe!! She wanted a studio and location shoot. She always wanted some graffiti as a backdrop. I found a remote location and purchased a confetti canon to give the finishing touches and FUN to our portraits there. I just love this shoot!! The peace on her face as the confetti rains down on her– brings me so much joy!! Hey, what are YOU doing for your birthday this year?!

Dream Photo Shoot | Manassas Portrait Photographer

Andrea and I had been chatting about this session for about 6 months. She was traveling and waiting for her schedule to open up. She told me, “I want you to style me, I want glitter, sparkles and all the glam I can get.” So, I HAPPILY made it happen for her!! I loved every look with did, and so did she!! When we finished up shooting and she was walking out of the studio, she said, “I am ready to do this again!!” — ME TOO, ME TOO!!
