I am a daughter, a mother and grandmother. I have three grown beautiful daughters — I am super proud of them. You’d probably expect a mom to say that — but I would also choose my daughters as friends!! They are cool women!! The little one is my first granddaughter! She and I were born at the same hospital many years apart. Back in the fall, I claimed May 4 as my Mother’s Day present to myself. I told everyone that they must be part of the photoshoot. As your children get older and have their own families, it is harder and harder to get everyone in ONE place at the same time! I will cherish these photos forever!!! When is the last time you’ve had portraits taken with your loved ones? Don’t wait!!
We had a great time at Lexi’s third Branding session. We had planned this one back in the fall– I said why don’t we do a Bridget Bardot/Loretta Lynn vibe — and Lexi loves rockabilly fashion and some aspects of her music have a rockabilly vibe!! The the shot where Lexi is by the river playing her Gibson guitar not looking at camera was the initial vision for this shoot. I usually see one particular image very clearly and start to build all the other parts of a shoot around that vision inspiration. We both loved how these came out– lots of album cover art work for Lexi to choose from!! Love working with this crazy talented artist to create her branding magic! We had a blast on Lucrecia’s 2nd branding shoot. She is an interior designer. If you ever get the chance to chat with her about travel — you won’t be sorry!! On this shoot, we were going for more of a portrait feel and images that can house her logo and copy about her business. The last session we did vignettes of different pieces that reflected world cultures. You can see her first session with me here.
