A photographer’s great weekend: shooting, talking shop, learning new things and a trip to the camera store: ) This past weekend, Mike and I went to NJ to visit Neil van Niekerk. We had a model from NYC, Anelisa. These are my faves from the shoot. AND then the trip to the B&H in NYC!! The super candy store for photographers!
The Trey Schneider Band
This shoot turned out fantastic! At 4:30 when we were heading to the farm to meet the band, the sky opened up and the rain poured…perfect! NOT…there went my best laid plans. But in the world of photography, you always MUST have a plan B! The barn proved to be a great backdrop and a make-shift studio.
I met The Trey Schneider Band at last year’s YFT Country Fair. I took some candids of them at the fair, but knew I would like to do some more creative shots with them. So we were finally able to get our schedules together…and wa-la…a shoot was born!

Douthat State Park
We had a little get-a-away this past weekend! Our first time at this state park. It was very nice! The weather was okay, but the rain didn’t stop us from hiking and snapping photos! An added bonus: a car show! We meet some neat people and saw some cool cars and trucks. I especially liked “Tammy” with her pimped out Hello Kitty Truck! Also, we met a family fishing along the lake who let me snap away at their daughter fishing!
Burgundy and Gold 2013 | Event Photography
I had the honor of photographing the 24th Annual Burgundy and Gold held at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner. This is a fundraiser for Youth For Tomorrow, an amazing organization for troubled youth. The guest speaker was Mike Ditka…and earlier in the day I photographed the three coaches in front of a mural at Redskins Park!
Great Falls Park | Wedding Photography
It was a beautiful day! Heather and Marshall got married at Great Falls in McLean, Virginia. The views were extraordinary…and the bride and groom has a wonderful backdrop for their ceremony. I loved the cake topper and the story that went along with it!
