I believe our culture’s collective thinking on the spectrum of beauty is so limited. We need to change that!! We are unique and uniquely beautiful!! This lovely lady, Katie, wanted to play dress up for her birthday!! And her husband, Jim, was not that excited – until – he saw his top and cane! She did a wonderful job styling both of them!! We shot in the studio and then went around Old Town Manassas for the rest of the shoot!! What an amazing time we had!! As we were shooting, Jim really got into it- tipping his hat to people passing by! I really loved incorporating the train station into their shoot- the photos feel like we stepped back in time! What a great way to spend a birthday- and Katie and Jim have memories and portraits that they treasure!!

I am completely in LOVE with the boho look!! We wanted a carefree feel for these images- I loved how they turned out!! Also, check out the video of the shoot below the photos!! When this lady here reached out to me wanting to do a themed boudoir session- I was super excited!! You can’t help but look at her face and red hair and see Disney’s Ariel!! We incorporated some elements from Ariel – but still kept it sexy! There are no rules!! This is all about how YOU WANT to be photographed!!

Can I tell you how happy photographing women of all ages makes me!!?? SOOOO happy!! Women have so many different aspects of beauty- I don’t believe one age group is “in their prime” as we have been groomed to believe. WE ARE BEAUTIFUL AT EVERY AGE!!
