Reedville Beach Wedding | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Joe were married on Saturday near Reedville, VA. Their ceremony was held at a church in Kilmarnock. It was a wedding done exactly how they wanted and exactly them- the reception was held at Joe’s family home right on the water. The bonfire on the night of the rehearsal was EPIC!! I can definitely say this is the biggest wedding party we have had with so many many cutie pies!!! AND the bowties, just sent the boys on cuteness overload. I love Sarah’s boho dress- and the veil was handmade from lace that had been previously worn from other brides in their family!! A first look with her father- and the lively parent dances!! Right after the ceremony, a massive thunderstorm happened – blowing rain- by the time we got to the reception site the rain had let up a little- and by couple portraits we had a break almost completely in the rain. We were honored to be part of their day!!!

They really expressed who she is: sassy, styled and sparkly!!! AND her Stella York looked amazing on her!! Kimmy and Neal are such a sweet couple and we were honored to be part of their day !!!! PS – each bridesmaid had her own pool boy attached to her Mimosa!! (Too funny!!)

Wedding at the Villa | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Michelle and Willie were married at The Villa at the beginning of March! Or should I say Wonder Woman and Superman were married! I just love when couples put their own twists and turns on their wedding day!!! Michelle and Willie are big comic book fans and they incorporated this into their day!! Check out that signing frame and cake topper, also the pins on the flowers- super cute. It was a very chilly day- but we thought warm thoughts and had a wonderful first look at Brookside Gardens! After the first look, we did some portraits right in the spot where Willie proposed!! It was a beautiful day and we were truly honored to be there!!

http://cjni.com/facebook-tv-newsrooms-advice-will-surprise/?shared=email DG-What led you into becoming a pastry chef?
http://thebandchoice.com/slider-2/ Y-I have always cooked and baked. When I was just out of high school, I was planning a trip to Japan. I had purchased my plane ticket and I had a place to stay, but I needed spending money. My mom was a business owner and I used to bring my baked items in from time to time. One of my mom’s customer said, “Why don’t you sell your baked goods to raise money for your trip.” I came back from my trip and signed up for Pastry Chef School.

DG-Pick three words to describe your work-
Y– Sweet – Dedicated – Fun (and I – DG – would like to add Delicious and Creative!!!)

DG-What kinds of things do you like to do outside of your work?
Y-I love cooking and my husband and I are wine enthusiasts. We love our pets. Dexter, our Great Dane, goes with us to wineries (if the wineries are dog friendly). Oh, I also love traveling.

DG– What is one of your favorite places that you have visited?
Y– Turkey. I fell in the love with the culture–the people were incredible!! It was some of the best food I have ever had–the desserts, the spices! But I want to say, Barcelona, Spain would be a close second!

DG-What is something that inspires you?
Y– Spring. The colors and hues of the season inspire my work and me personally as well! Nature is just filled with beautiful colors. And also, the minds of children–they are so open and creative!

DG-If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self what would it be?
Y– Follow your path. Follow your instincts and do what you love from the very beginning.

DG-What is it that you want your work/art to accomplish in the world?
Y– Make people happy, make people smile. When I think of sweets, I think of happiness.
(DG – spoken like a true baker!)

Here are some photos of Yuliana’s work!
